Yarrsen
Yarrsen is a pirate encountered at The Hideout in Freeport. His appearance includes a hook, a peg leg, an eyepatch, a pirate hat, and a parrot.
He is interested in quests for legendary treasures and has searched for St Smithens’ Chalice.
Yarrsen also exchanges local rumours. One story he recounts concerns Doña Isabel del Oro: an Azcelani witch supposedly promised her parents a “perfect child that no other can follow,” with the hidden meaning that Isabel would be the last of her lineage.
Of course, this is a rumour Yarrsen has heard, rather than an event he claims to have witnessed.
