Grizzfest

Grizzfest was a pair of improvised events in and around Freeport in May Y120, trading on public interest in Grizzlebeard and Little Foot.

Grizzlebeard did not endorse the events and later objected to his association with their organisers.

First Grizzfest

The first event developed beside the Ursa Major on 05/05/Y120, where pirates were gathering to seek an audience with Grizzlebeard.

The organisers established a queue and provided snacks. The gathering helped circulate claims that Little Foot was connected with a great treasure.

Grizzfest 2

A second event was erected below Amokuali Temple on 06/05/Y120.

The organisers used abandoned building materials and tools to create signs, a food stall, and supposed souvenirs. The installation was intended to delay, confuse, and redirect people approaching the temple, while also selling meals.

Bruno Culina supplied the cooking. Marco helped establish the event, and Carrie Takeson was drawn into staffing its makeshift shop.

Reputation

The events became associated with the violence and disorder surrounding the search for Little Foot. At least some Freeport residents remembered Grizzfest as excessively violent.

Grizzlebeard’s name on the signs should not be mistaken for his sponsorship or approval.
