Howell Baldwin
Howell Baldwin was a sailor and strong dock worker in Redd James’ crew. He fought with a cutlass and buckler and was a capable, hard-hitting opponent despite not being a celebrated duellist.
Fatal confrontation at Freeport
During a fight at the Freeport docks, Howell severed Barry Cuda’s left leg and fought Bruno Culina (Will Chapman's Character).
He was eventually incapacitated and had his throat cut by Bruno Culina (Will Chapman's Character). Bruno Culina (Will Chapman's Character) then rolled him face-down into the harbour while he remained unconscious and bleeding heavily.
His death is strongly implied by these circumstances, although the account does not describe recovery of his body.
