The Crossed Keys

The Crossed Keys is a popular tavern in Freeport. Its known patrons include Bennett, Grizzlebeard, Redd James, and Edward Jenkins.

It is known for its fighting ring. Contestants receive wooden weapons, and the first to land a blow wins. The ring accommodates unusual weapons as well as conventional blades: Juarez fought with a four-yard wooden chain when he defeated Peg Meg-Leg (see Treasures Age Old - Session 5 Player Recap).

The tavern attracts pirates and members of competing crews, making it a useful place to find contacts, gather rumours, or arrange meetings.

It has a kitchen and a private dining room capable of accommodating a sizeable gathering.
