Treasures Age Old - Session 2 Player Recap

Campaign Day 1 (continued), 02/05/Y120

The party flees from the processing facility, splitting from the 34 other slaves. They spot a hay-filled cart and use it to disguise themselves. Peg Meg-Leg is sleeping in the hay, waking up from a drunken night out.

Peg Meg-Leg is easily convinced that he won the party as slaves the previous night when drinking. Peg Meg-Leg is convinced to remove the collars on the party, and remembers meeting a blacksmith at The Broken Drum. The party heads to The Broken Drum, drop Peg Meg-Leg, and head straight to the bar. Bruno Culina (William Chapman) orders food and the party adds three drinks on top, and add it to Peg Meg-Leg's tab. Bruno Culina (William Chapman) starts to dig in as soon as the food arrives.

Suspicion is raised and after some question from the bar manager, he whispers something to someone who disappears into the crowd.

The party stumble upon the blacksmith, who turns out to be Gertrude Gomez, Gunther Gomez (Rowland Sadler)'s cousin! She agrees to remove the party's shackles.

The party go to the blacksmith, and wait for Gertrude Gomez to collect some small tools and files to remove the collars.
However, while they wait, they realise she has been gone for a long time.
Gunther Gomez (Rowland Sadler) sneaks in down the chute. He overhears the blacksmith being punished and tortured for planning to help slaves escape. Gunther Gomez (Rowland Sadler) sneaks up the stairs and calls out to the blacksmith (while aiming).
The torturer turns and Gunther Gomez (Rowland Sadler) fires.
The torturer's arm is severely damaged. Barry Cuda (Sam Bebbington) braces a musket on the edge of the cart, after carefully aiming he fires and instantly kills the middle of the three guards rushing towards the blacksmith. Dino Wrangler (Oscar Katz) also fires, but misses horribly.
The two remaining guards turn and spot Dino Wrangler (Oscar Katz).
Gunther Gomez (Rowland Sadler) tries fleeing down the stairs, attacking the torturer, but is spotted by the guards entering.
The guards catch up to him and slash his back with a cutlass, forcing him to the ground.

Gunther Gomez (Rowland Sadler) surrenders. Dino Wrangler (Oscar Katz) eventually enters with a saber ready and the guards return to attack him. They all leave Gunther Gomez (Rowland Sadler) in the basement. The guards attack Dino Wrangler (Oscar Katz), forcing him outside, with many swings and misses from both sides.

Barry Cuda (Sam Bebbington), approaching the blacksmith's entrance (5 yards away) fires the other Musket, instantly killing another guard, leaving a single guard standing - who is off-balance after over-extending himself (stuck readying after a critical miss). Dino Wrangler (Oscar Katz) capitalises on this, and in a flurry of blows, drops the final guard to the ground.

The torturer runs off.

Barry Cuda (Sam Bebbington) finds a fine saber.

The Bale has 7 muskets, 3 swords, 1 balanced sword (found by Barry Cuda (Sam Bebbington)).
3 Breastplate + backplate (DR7 front, DR3 back).

Hay
2,400 dubloons (Gunther Gomez (Rowland Sadler)).
The cart is now pulled by a Two-Pronged Tugger, property of the blacksmith.
The party head to the Grand Hascienda in the town center to find Redd James.

Session ends with them back on The Red Scorn, ready to set sail, looking for old men.
