Joan Ackworth

Joan Ackworth was a wealthy resident of Freeport, known for rich clothing, self-importance, and conspicuous spending in taverns.

He had made lucrative deals involving Inquistadors (16P) shipping, but attempted to cheat his partners and was forced to settle in Freeport. There he lived on his remaining wealth and cultivated popularity by buying drinks for strangers.

Death

During Gustavo, Montañero Pirate Lord’s blockade in early May Y120, Joan Ackworth attempted to arrange an urgent flight out of Freeport.

A confrontation with Peg Meg-Leg (with him trying to seize her bounty) beside the Swooping Terror hangar ended when she looped a chain around his neck and jumped over the cliff, dragging him after her.

They landed in a private garden below. Joan Ackworth died from catastrophic injuries, while Peg Meg-Leg survived. His death subsequently appeared among the allegations on her wanted notice.
