Destruction of the Carrouban Map Archive
During the Conquistadan Civil War, the homeland repository holding maps of Carrouban was destroyed.
Lost geographical knowledge
The destruction meant that vast swathes of land places previously charted by Conquistadan explorers were no longer represented in the surviving central records. An apparently uncharted region may therefore have been visited before, with its records subsequently lost. This loss compounds the difficulties of exploring Carrouban’s extensive jungles and locating settlements concealed beneath vegetation.
