The Cardinal Inquisitor of Carrouban governs the Carrouban branch of the Inquistador Theocracy and rules from Fortress Veridian. The current Cardinal Inquisitor of Carrouban is Cardinal Rodrigo. Someone holding this position is on The Regency Council. Cardinal Rodrigo exercises substantial influence over Fortress Veridian and dominates the homeland’s Conquistadan Regency Council.

The office combines senior religious authority with leadership of the Inquistadors (16P) presence in Carrouban. Fortress Veridian serves as its principal stronghold and the centre of opposition to the Loyalists in Caelor's Garden.
