Inner Sea Guildmasters

The Inner Sea Guildmasters are influential commercial leaders within the Conquistan of the Inner Sea. Their power rests on control of shipbuilding resources, trade routes, and regulated crafts.

Regulation of trades

The region has a strong guild system. Producing goods covered by a guild requires its permission, making guild authority an important consideration for craftspeople and businesses.

Position in the civil war

The Guildmasters have avoided explicitly choosing between the rival sides of the Conquistadan Civil War. Instead, they have sworn allegiance to the “true king,” leaving the identity of that ruler deliberately unresolved. Their refusal to choose a side is technically treasonous, but their economic and strategic importance protects their position.

Independence and mediation

The merchant leadership seeks to preserve its independence and sometimes acts as a neutral intermediary. Puerto Guardia provides a venue for negotiations between opposing ufactions.
