Coast of Death Incident
The Coast of Death Incident was a series of attacks on Conquistador settlements south of Caelor's Garden, following the coup and outbreak of the Conquistadan Civil War around Y114–115.
Colonial collapse
The region had been a target for further Conquistadan expansion, but remained difficult to control.
The Conquistadan Civil War disrupted supplies, command, and military deployments. South Azcelani (16P) forces exploited the resulting weakness to raid and overrun coastal settlements, burning them and taking captives.
The existing accounts associate the attacks with the City of the Dead.
Political consequences
The attacks compounded the crisis facing Caelor's Garden’s Loyalist governor and contributed to the conditions in which he lost power. The resulting need for dependable West Azcelani (16P) support helped bring the Ruling Twins of Caelor's Garden to power.
